Alterations to a large Victorian property with a very dark kitchen which had no connection to the very private established garden. The key decision was taken to install a large 2.7×2.7M window overlooking the garden, inserted into a previously blank wall. This insertion opened up the space creating light and views and incorporated a feature window seat
